Niobe

I just finished a composition, an elegy for oboe solo: Niobe. Based on the greek mythe of Niobe whose fourteen children were murdered and she never stopped crying, like all the mothers who lose their children in all the wars in the world, their hearts always will cry.

Aysin Kiremitci oboist of the Borusan Filarmoni Orkestrasi Istanbul and lecturerer conservatory Istanbul, is studying the piece now. She wil play it with a oboe and and oboe d'amore.
